FINS is an independent scientific institution founded by Government of province of Vojvodina. FINS has about 100 employees, half of them are researchers. Institute has sophisticated laboratory equipment. FINS has several pilot plants for development, testing, training and demonstration of new products. Intensive activity in scientific projects at national and international level includes following research fields: development of new and improvement of existing food technologies and products, assessment of quality of raw materials for food production as well as final products, food quality and safety, sustainability of food chain and preservation of traditional food products in the region.
FINS is leading T4.2 'design of low cost foods and meals' and T6.2. 'test production of novel foods & packages'.
